We are currently looking for Technical Documentation Specialist (TECHNICAL WRITER AMM)
MISSION
Use all the technical data characterizing a system (or subsystem), a structure, a component or a process, from bundles of plans and / or studies provided by the client.
Write and format a manual that can be used by the end customer.
ACTIVITIES & RESPONSABILITIES
On the project:
The Technical Writer is responsible for applying a defined method of operating and writing technical data, respecting deadlines, presentation standards, quality procedures and productivity criteria.
From input data (package, BE criteria, modification files, customer letter, etc.), establish the list of impacts within the manual.
- Transcribe the technical characteristics.
- Write (or update) in French (or English) a manual update project
- Format the document, in strict compliance with standards and customer specifications.
- Assume self-control of his work using a checklist and carry out (depending on the activity) cross-checks.
In some cases, respond to requests from customers faced with a manual non-compliance: identify the cause and resolve it.
Analyze the problem by possibly improving the documentation.
After a self-check and cross-check phase using a checklist (depending on the activity), the Technical Writer is checked by a person authorized to carry out final checks (customer).
The procedures and working methods of the technical writer are defined by a checklist.
He is autonomous in the organization of his investigations within the bundle of plans or in the various sources of information (databases and other manuals).
Relationship with third parties:
The Technical Writer will be in direct contact with the client, by delegation from the Project Manager (or the expert project) and will work at the agency.
The technicality and complexity of the information exchanged require the Technical Writer to analyze the situation, seek information, provide explanations and ensure that they are understood.
This information remains within its area of competence.

Technical and operational skills:

• Aeronautical knowledge and more particularly helicopters
• Knowledge of systems (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, on-board electronic avionics etc.)
• Documentary environment
• Reading of plans and bundles of plans
• Methods of collecting and analyzing the various source data
• Control and self-control methods
• Technical Writing Standard
• ADOC input tools (is a plus)
• Internal (Akka repository, project PAQ) and external (customer repositories and specifications) procedures
• Process of producing a manual
• Drafting rules
• ATA aeronautical system
